GENDER | the chest issue
pic by Ema Discordant via the Gegen fanpage
it was around 4 or 5 AM and i was sweaty, drunk, exhausted and slightly crazy.
this is how i went to the queer-friendly party called Gegen held at the fetish KitKat Club when i was back in Berlin.
black tape instead of a bra, mesh top, vinyl skirt.
(there were people who were completely naked so i was actually dressed quite prudish)
i met a few of my friends there.
a few girls and boys were hitting on me.
no one said a thing about my outfit choice, apart from my friend obsessing over my latex skirt, heh.
when i went to another queer party in August 2k14, Porn by Pornceptual, i had a slightly similar outfit.
black jeans, see-through shirt, but no bra this time.
i didn't meet anyone i knew that time.
i remember what a random guy with naked chest told me though.
he said that my outfit was 'very daring'.
mind you, he didn't have any shirt on.
and here we go again, to the exact same issue that's always discussed.
what's the big deal about nipples?
why are female chests considered something else than male chests?
why are female bodies so oversexualized?
i don't know; and i might have given up on finding out.
though one thing i know is that we all should work on changing it.
by not being afraid to expose our chests.
by not caring about who exposes what.
